Information and Assistance

Area II Agency on Aging has partnered with the Senior and Long Term Care Division of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services to provide Information and Assistance (also known as Information and Referral) Services to our service area.

Our Information and Assistance (I&A) Technicians are available to help senior citizens, adults with disabilities, their families and caregivers with information about services as well as to refer people to the appropriate service programs and agencies.

The I&A Program can provide comprehensive and current local resource information on issues and the availability of services such as:

• social and health services
• crisis and/or emergency intervention
• insurance counseling and assistance
• legal services development and referral
• utilities assistance
• meal services
• adult protective services
• grief and loss issues
• mental health counseling
• assistance for food/clothing/household needs
• educational and recreational opportunities
